Annie Timmons grew up in Corryville with her grandmother and three sisters living as a family of five on less than $4000 a year. Business History

Blue and White Professional Health Care Service Poster.png

Timmons Tender Care was officially started as an LLC  by Annie Timmons. Annie has been a member of the Cincinnati community working with children for over 44 years. As she prepares to retire, she decided she wanted to become a companion for seniors. After working with children and their families for years she had a strong desire to now finish her service with older adults and those with special needs. Her passion, compassion, and empathy for others made this business a natural progression from the work she had done all her life.

Annie’s husband is a retired schoolteacher, CPS school board member and coach who in 2019 suffered a stroke. Annie saw firsthand how the need for services both home health care and transportation could be taxing and challenging for others as it was for her. Annie also is the aunt to a nephew with special needs and she again witnessed the need for services like Timmons Tender Care for families and the comfort it could bring to the stress that comes with these situations.

Annie wanted to allow individuals to keep their independence and dignity and get the assistance they needed in their home and getting to needed appointments. In having these personal experiences. Annie decided to start Timmons Tender Care, to offer home health care and transportation care to those in need.

Why?

Our Why

The home healthcare sector is the fastest growing healthcare industry in the United States. The private caregiver services sector is one of the fastest-growing health care industries. Demand is driven by over 73 million baby boomers, representing 25% of the US population. More than 10,000 baby boomers turn 65 every day and by 2030, 61 million baby boomers will be aged 66-84. (Source: Census)

Aging baby boomer are placing more demand on the healthcare market to provide home health care. As life expectancy increases, seniors who need long-term care prefer to stay in their homes, which means additional private care givers are required.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts 17 percent job growth for nursing assistants and 38 percent growth for home health aides through 2024, both of which are much faster than average. As the Baby Bomber generation ages, the industry is expected to grow significantly and so will the need for Timmons Tender Care.
